Turning anime into a live action film is currently the "next big thing"! Imagine if some soulless, Hollywood type was checking around his kids room, looking for pot.....er looking for a ideas, and discovered TOKYOPOP's release of Initial D. He thinks "Okay, that guy at ADV is on the top 50 movers and shakers with Evangelion, why not me!"

"So, 'The Fast and The Furious' did pretty good, and that Vin Diesel guy is pretty cool, so let's hire the same cast, and go for it!"
