SUMMARY

Gundam X is one of the lesser known "Gundam" series from Japan. While having inspired mecha designs and plenty of action, it never seemed to catch on to the popularity brought on by "Gundam Wing".
The series starts with the last battle against the space colonies and Earth Federation. For thier last gamble, the space colonists drop space colonies on Earth, attempting to destroy the planet. Most of the population dies. 15 years later, A kid named Gerold is hired to "rescue" a young woman named Tifa from a group of Vultures.

The reality is that the war between the Earth Federation and the Colonial Forces is not over, just being kept quiet. Tifa and her "captor" Captian Neate are really newtypes, and both sides are eager to control them.

However, they didn't count on Gerold on being such a good Gundam pilot.
While having enjoied the success of fan favorite "Gundam Wing" Sunrise expected "Gundam X" to really take off. Unfortunatly, the serise didn't seem to draw in the viewers and it was cut from 50 episodes to 39, making the story uncomprenhensible and the ending confusing. At this time, there are no plans for a follow up series.
