SUMMARY
Keitaro
has finally made it into Tokyo University. Unfortunately, Naru's
temper has resulted in Keitaro breaking his leg. Since he is unable
to attend school, he decides to go away with his friend Seita on an archeological
dig.
After he leaves, Keitaro's step-sister Kanako arrives.
Taking her brothers place as the manager, she begins a little spring
cleaning. Using her ability to disguise herself, she tries to eliminate
not only Naru, but anyone who might be a rival for Keitaro's
affections. As it turns out, Kanako is the girl Keitaro promised to
attend Tokyo University with.
When Keitaro returns, the battle for his heart
begins. Yet, the magic of Hinata House may have the power to bring
Keitaro and Naru together at last.
DVD VISION TEST
VIDEO: A beautiful looking transfer, Bandai has done a
fantastic job. The colors (at least what colors there are) are perfect, there are no pixels, no wrinkles,
no defects.
AUDIO: Good audio mix on both the English and Japanese. The Japanese 2.0
is quite loud, with a fuller sound than the English 2.0.
EDITS: No edits.
EXTRAS: Some outtakes, textless open and all three textless endings are
your extras. That and the reversible cover.
WIDESCREEN REVIEW
STORY: The
series is based off of the manga created by Ken Akamatsu.
However, it is series planners Toshimichi Otsuki, Toru Sato and script
writer Kuro Hazuki who are giving us this story. Frankly, nothing in the series is
new or original, story wise. The rip off from so many different
anime, I doubt an original thought passed through their heads.
ACTING: The cast on both versions irritate the hell out of me. Between the
cheesy southern accents on the English dub, to the whinny, nails on a
chalkboard Japanese voice actors, every minute of this series makes me
cringe.
FAN SERVICE: It's wall to wall baby. Everything
from sexy lingerie to girl on girl action, it's the only redeeming factor
of this whole DVD.
CONCLUSION
What a bitch.
Naru is the biggest, stupidest bitch in the history of
anime.
First of all, she punches Keitaro, causing him break his leg and miss
school. Then, she won't even say she is sorry. Then upon
Keitaro's return, she still treats him like crap. When Kanako
arrives, she allows the rival for her punching bags affection to
stay. She even defends her to the other Hinta House guests. If she
would just tell Keitaro how she feels, then we would not have to put up
with 26 EPISODES, 1 MOVE, AND THIS FRICKIN' 3 EPISODE OVA!
I absolutely
hate this series. I hate the idiotic characters. I hate the re-hashed
story. I hate the cheep animation. I hate the mechanical
designs. I hate the crappy writing. I even hate the new and
even more annoying theme song!
Also, what is up
with the forbidden annex? While I admit I have not watched the
entire series, neither the first volume of the manga, or the movie mention
anything about it. So, did it magically appear? Was it a whore
house? Why didn't anyone say anything about it before? You
mean to tell me that something that was never mentioned before is the
pivotal plot point we have been waiting for? Talk about crappy
writing.
The only thing I like about this movie is
the fan service. Being closer to
"Love Hentai" than Love Hina, there are so many panty shots,
near nude shots, and lesbian-chic mixed in, I got a nose bleed watching
it. If only it had been a hentai release. Then perhaps, I
would have like it.......nahhh!
This is by far the
worst anime series ever made! It's stupid, you don't care about any
of the characters, and the writing is totally unoriginal.
One
last thing. To paraphrase Eric Cartman; "Naru's a bitch! She's
a big bad bitch! She is the biggest bitch in the whole wide
world!"
